Mehmanparast: Any Action Against Iran To Cost US, West Dearly

Bushehr, Feb 16, IRNA - Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says thanks to the Iranian nation's presence on the scene, the US and its western allies cannot launch any operations against Iran and any hasty and uncalculated move would cost them dearly. Addressing a group of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel here on Wednesday, Mehmanparast said the arrogant powers' hostility to the Islamic Republic of Iran is due to Tehran's influence on political developments taking place around the globe. He said enemy knows pretty well that Islamic Iran gets stronger day by day and other countries too have taken Iran's authority and dignity as their model. He added that there are countries trying to dominate the world but they should bear in mind that the Iranian nation has strong political insight. Elsewhere in his remarks, Mehmanparast said Islamic Revolution of Iran has turned into an influential power in the region and the world, inspiring recent awakening movement. The Zionists attribute terrorist acts in the US, Georgia, India and Thailand to Iran, in a bid to divert the world public opinion, he added. He said enemies cannot pose any threat to Islamic Iran in the Persian Gulf. /end
