Sarajevo, April 11, IRNA - Spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast said that Tehran is interested in stability, security and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In an exclusive interview with the Bosnian News Agency, ONASA, he stressed that Bosnian stability and security would benefit the whole Balkan region. Asked about Iran’s nuclear program, Mehmanparast reiterated that the country’s nuclear activities have always been peaceful, adding that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, based on the Islamic teachings, has prohibited production of nuclear weapons. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been one of the first members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and has had close cooperation with the UN nuclear watch dog so far. As to the latest regional developments, he said the Mideast region is one of the most sensitive and strategic regions of the world.
