MEXICO HAILS INDONESIA'S SUPPORT FOR ITS REFORM PROGRAMS

Jakarta, Feb 15 (Antara) - Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto (EPN) has hailed Indonesia's participation in supporting Mexico's reform programs, an Indonesian diplomat has said. "The Mexican President made the remarks when receiving Indonesian new Ambassador to Mexico Yusra Khan recently," Febby Fahrani, the information, social and culture officer of the Indonesian Embassy in Mexico, told Antara here on Sunday. President EPN also appreciated the close bilateral relations of both countries. The President viewed that bilateral relations of the two countries so far had been running well through work programs and concrete cooperation. According to Fahrani, President EPN also hailed Indonesia's participation in various opportunities related to Mexican reforms programs. On the occasion Ambassador Khan also conveyed the greeting of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to President EPN. The ambassador also conveyed Jokowi's appreciation to the reform programs implemented by President EPN, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure which offer opportunities for foreign investors. The Indonesian ambassador also asked for President EPN's support for Indonesia's concrete efforts to increase bilateral relations, particularly in the trade, investment and tourism sectors. She hoped that the Mexican President would also encourage Indonesian companies, such as state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina and Wijaya Karya, to take part in the tenders of Mexican construction and oil projects.(*)
