MICAD attends 65th session of UNHCR Executive Committee

GENEVA: A delegation from the U.A.E. Ministry of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) is participating in the 65th session of the Executive Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, from 29 September to 3 October. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres, opened the meeting with a speech highlighting the current status of refugees in Africa, and the crisis resulting from armed conflicts in different parts of the world. The Executive Committee will review UNHCR’s strategic vision for the year ahead, setting out the key challenges facing the agency today and the efforts required efforts to meet them.
