Min.: Iranˈs nuclear activities under IAEA supervision

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA – Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said Iranˈs nuclear activities are under IAEA supervision. General Dehqan in a live interview with Iranian television on Sunday evening, by referring to sensitivity of talks between Iran and Group 5+1 and comments on visiting Parchin installation, said that Iran has never wanted nuclear weapons and the fatwa by the Supreme Leader is a reason for this claim. He added that Parchin installations have been visited by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) several times and Iran has asked them to consider questionable points in this concern and even once they declared the issue is finished. The general underlined that there is no reason for their presence in Parchin and the Agency is showing this unreasonable behavior under pressures of Israel. He continued that Iran is following two goals; using national capacities and decreasing reliance on abroad. Dehqan stressed that Iranˈs industrial knowledge and abilities compared with the past decade have increased and now we are trying to increase our ability in designing. Referring to importance of self-sufficiency of armed forces, the general explained that to decrease reliance on abroad, we have to increase our abilities and this is a goal for us. General Dehqan, by referring to shooting down of a spy drone of the Zionist regime in Iran territory reminded that the Israelis and the Americans are interested to say that they could enter Iranˈs space, but they mainly enter into Iran for communication espionage and as Iran has repeatedly declared any invasion will have a strong reaction. He said that the drone came from Israel and our colleagues in IRGC Aerospace division shot it down and its parts will be analyzed.
