MINISTRY OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL WELFARE HOLDS CONSULTATIVE MEETING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Human Development and Social Welfare held a consultative meeting on October 20 with representatives of its partner organizations. They are from the UN specialized agencies and related international organizations that cooperate with the Ministry in implementations of policies and regulations in the sector. Two main issues have been discussed at the meeting. At first, the Ministry has presented its proposal to establish Partners’ Counseling Commission in order to enhance the efficiency of cooperation with the UN, its specialized agencies, and with international and domestic partner organizations. The main guidelines of the Commission includes followings: ensuring coordination between participants and roles of sectors related to human development and social welfare and of international organizations in intensifying implementation of state policies and programs; exchange of information on policies and activities, establishing data network and making its operations constant; strengthening capacities of human resources in the sector, accumulating capital and finance reserves, making assessment and monitoring for improving efficiency in estimating those reserves and appropriate consumption, and issuing initiatives. The second issue was the focus on child and family members’ protection in vulnerable groups of society, in frames of the Year of promoting family development.
