Minju Joson Discloses Japan's Purpose of Publication of 2018 Defense White Paper

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The Abe regime is trying to publish in August the "2018 defense white paper" that openly revealed the ambition for a military giant including the increase of the missile defense capability, taking issue with the DPRK. Minju Joson on Thursday says in a commentary that the Abe regime is crying out for the development of the missile defense capability while talking about "threat" from someone, but it is no more than reckless military move to attain its sinister political aims. It goes on: The publication of the "2018 defense white paper" is, in essence, an expression of the vile scheme to justify the moves for a military giant under the pretext of "threat" from someone and realize the design for overseas expansion. It is an invariable ambition of the Japanese reactionaries to gain the military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region and thus realize the old dream for the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at any cost. They have the impudence to tell a lie, like a thief crying "Stop thief", in a bid to attain their criminal purpose for aggression. Their scheme to publish the "white paper" is also a manifestation of their anxiety that the trend of détente prevailing in the Korean peninsula will deprive them of the justification for realizing the ambition for overseas expansion and put a brake on the realization of militarism.
