Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a multinational sea blockade drill was staged in territorial waters of Japan under the signboard of "Proliferation Security Initiative".
The drill was reportedly aimed to get "familiar" with the procedure of identifying and inspecting vessels which are suspected of carrying weapons of mass destruction including nukes and missiles with the mobilisation of warplanes and warships.
Minju Joson on Tuesday says in a commentary that the DPRK can never overlook the drill as it is a dangerous and reckless military move harmful to the atmosphere of détente on the Korean peninsula created with much effort.
It goes on:
The drill staged in the territorial waters of Japan near the Korean peninsula is a provocation to the DPRK working hard to remove the hostile relations between the DPRK and the U.S. and build confidence, and a blatant violation of the Singapore DPRK-U.S. joint statement which called for the improvement of the bilateral relations.
Such dishonest move of Japan, which offered its territorial waters for the drill and took active part in the military action, is a reckless deed for turning the phase of détente on the Korean peninsula back to that of confrontation and war, and a manifestation of the heinous scheme to step up the revival of militarism and reinvasion of Asia with the backing of its master.
Condemning the wrong behavior of the south Korean military which dispatched armed forces to the drill, the commentary warns:
Those, involved in the reckless military moves without discretion going against the trend of the times, should not run wild, properly understanding that their rash act will cause irrevocable consequences. -0-
