Mongolia and Czech Republic discuss their cooperation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 5th meeting of the Mongolia-Czech intergovernmental commission was held on August 26-27 in Prague, the Czech Republic. The parties have discussed the bilateral cooperation in the trade, economics, investment, energy, urban development, social welfare and development sectors, and concluded a present situation of the bilateral relations and cooperation. The sides exchanged views on activating the cooperation in other fields and increasing benefits of developmental assistance. Within the intergovernmental meeting, a Mongolia-Czech business forum was co-organized by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Czech-Mongolia Commercial Chamber, the Czech Economic Chamber and the Mongolia’s Embassy in the Czech Republic. Ran with participation of some 110 business delegates, the forum aims to advertize the business and investment environment in Mongolia and its opportunities to Czech businessmen and to attract investments and progressive techniques and technologies from the Czech Republic. At the end of the forum, the sizes signed four memorandums on cooperation, trade and investment among business organizations. In addition, the Minister of Construction and Urban Development Mr Ts.Bayarsaikhan held a meeting with Jiri Cienciala, the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade; and Frantisek Lukl, the Minister for Regional Development. As a result of the intergovernmental commission meeting, the sides established Tuesday a protocol on expanding the bilateral cooperation in trade sphere. The Mongolia-Czech intergovernmental commission is co-chaired by Ts.Bayarsaikhan and by M.Hovorka, the Czech Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce.
