Mongolia and UK to cooperate in agricultural industry

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ P.Sergelen, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry met with Catherine Arnold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia on January 9. After expressing Minister’s gratitude to Ambassador for coming, the dignitaries exchanged views on future collaboration in the areas of agriculture and light industry. In particular, the Minister and the Ambassador talked about sharing experiences and bilateral cooperation in the directions of regulations on organic trademarks. Furthermore, Minister P.Sergelen offered a proposal to get technical assistance from the UK on making a catalogue and a list of products approved in the organic food and agricultural manufacturing industry of Mongolia. In turn, Catherine Arnold, Ambassador accepted the request and pledged to collaborate on this issue in the future.
