Mongolia and USA establish transparency agreement

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold and the US Trade Representative Michael Forman Tuesday signed an agreement on transparency in matters related to international trade and investments between Mongolia and the USA in New York city. During the ceremony, the parties underlined that this agreement has made an important step to expand and strengthen the bilateral trade and economic relations. It will contribute to widening of the Mongolia-USA commercial and economic ties and to augmenting of the US investments to Mongolia, making thus a basis for launching free-trade talks between Mongolia and the USA. After the ceremony, the Foreign Minister exchanged views with Mr Forman and with Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Mr Daniel R.Russel on enhancing the bilateral relations, including the economic cooperation, and on measures to be realized based on the agreement. Present at the signing ceremony were also B.Altangerel, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the USA, and B.Chuluunkhuu, a director of the Foreign Ministry Department of America and Africa
