MONGOLIA ASPIRES TO ENRICH TIES WITH AFGHANISTAN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj says Mongolia wants to develop its traditional and friendly relations with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with new cooperation trends. This was sounded on Thursday at a meeting with leader of Afghanistan Mr Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. The meeting ran on sidelines of the Meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State and the Meeting of the BRICS Heads of State continuing in Russian Ufa. He also said the two countries can expand their relations in the politics, economy and humanitarian spheres. The Mongolia-Afghanistan relations have been developing in the peacekeeping field, Mr Elbegdorj noted and emphasized that Mongolia has been officially named as one of the 45 countries to donate troops to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) with UN mandates. The President also said the two countries have a chance to cooperate in health, education and agricultural spheres by a way of implementing joint projects.
