MONGOLIA WANTS TO BOOST TIES WITH BELARUS IN SOME SPHERES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ While taking part in the Meetings of the SCO Council of Heads of State and the BRICS Heads of State in Ufa of Russia, the President of Mongolia Mr Elbegdorj Thursday met with his Belarus counterpart Mr A.G.Lukashenko, and told him Mongolia wants to boost the ties with Belarus in several spheres. Mongolia is interested in developing the relations with the EEU members through Belarus, who is currently chairing this union, Mr Elbegdorj said. Our countries have a great opportunity to intensify the cooperation in economy, education, science and other sectors, he added. In response, Mr Lukashenko expressed a satisfaction with meeting with the Mongolian President and emphasized that this meeting gave a chance to discuss the bilateral relations and cooperation. The two sides can boost the bilateral traditional and friendly relations and cooperation in the agriculture and other sectors. The leader of Mongolia noted about some achievements in the Mongolia-Belarus relations, for example, the Prime Minister of Belarus visited Mongolia in 2013, Belarus opened its Embassy in Mongolia in 2014, the Mongolia-Belarus intergovernmental joint commission met three times.
