Mongolian and Czech ministers discuss cooperation in mining

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During his visit to the Czech Republic, the Minister of Industry D.Erdenebat met with the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mladek on November 24 and discussed with him a range of opportunities of cooperation in energy and infrastructure. Design of the Erdenet Heating Power Plant extension is being executed on the funding from the Czech Republic’s official assistance for development. Mongolia and the Czech Republic are also co-organizing the human-resource training in mining sphere. Mr Erdenebat expressed an interest in launching a flow of mining trucks and equipment from Czech and suggested reaching a shared understanding on the financial ability for making such trades. The Czech side also expressed an interest in selling mining equipment to Mongolia, with a purpose to realize a goal set during the last meeting of Mongolia-Czech Republic Intergovernmental Commission on doubling the bilateral trade turnover.
