MONGOLIAN PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE GIVES SPEECH

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Office at Geneva and international organizations V.Purevdorj has stated that Mongolia is continuing its active cooperation in actions of disarmament and proliferation of nuclear weapons. Mr Purevodrj said it at a regular session of the Conference of Disarmament of the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) which kicked off on Monday in Geneva, Switzerland. He also said Mongolia will contribute to steps being undertaken at international arena on the nuclear weapon-free status of Mongolia and to all goals for the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Opening remarks were given by Mr Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary-General, and by the Ambassador of Israel, the chair of the conference. Mongolia will chair the Conference of Disarmament in 2015.
