Mongolians abroad to give votes on Friday

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A report on how the Mongolians abroad will vote was given Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Authority of Registration (GAR) and General Election Commission (GEC). Accordingly, a total of six thous. 233 "foreign" Mongolians will take part in the Presidential election on June 14-16 at all diplomatic missions of Mongolia. The registration ran May 5-19 through 39 sub-commissions, and 6,478 people were listed to participate in the election but later 240 of them were "crossed out" due to some problems with documentation. The largest number of the electorate has been registered in Seoul, the South Korea (1,454 people) and in Washington DC, USA (838 people). The voting will go on until 10.00 pm by local times, and ballot papers will be put into boxes, sealed and sent to the GEC to Mongolia. These papers will be counted together with ballot papers of the election in Mongolia.
