Moscow talks on Syria; 'no' to militancy

TEHRAN, Oct. 29 (MNA) – Foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, and Syria will share the table on Friday in Moscow to stress their commitment to solving the crisis via political mechanisms. “For the Syrian crisis, we have always underlined the necessity of truce observed by all sides, extensive humanitarian reliefs, and finding a political solution,” said Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Friday upon arriving at Vnukovo International Airport of Moscow. “The countries who are after establishing peace and countering Takfirism in Syria have to be more coordinated to develop peaceful solutions with the aim of ending the tensions, and Today’s consultations in Moscow are for this cause.” The Iranian senior diplomat arrived at Vnukovo International Airport of Moscow at 9:30 a.m. local time and was welcomed by Mehdi Sanaei, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, and some Russian officials. Mr. Zarif voiced regret that unfortunately some countries are after spreading war and militancy in the region while the key to solving the crisis had always been political. Meanwhile, Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman told the media that Zarif, Lavrov, and Moallem would examine the latest development in Syria considering the trilateral commitment for relentless war on terror, provision of truce conditions, ending the problems of the Syrians, solving humanitarian issues, and initiating the political mechanism of settling the crisis.
