Moscow, Washington can meet challenges more effectively by working together - ambassador

WASHINGTON, June 13. /TASS/. Russia and the US can do a lot to strengthen global peace and security, cooperation will make it possible for the two countries to meet similar challenges more effectively, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said at a reception at the Russian Embassy on the occasion of Russia Day. "We are interested in stable and predictable relations with the US. Our two countries can do a lot to strengthen global peace and security," Antonov emphasized. "We are facing similar challenges, to which we could respond much more effectively by acting together. The Russian side is ready for such work," he noted. "Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on numerous occasions that our country is open to a dialogue on all issues to ensure global security, ready for a constructive and equal partnership for the sake of harmony, peace and progress across the globe."
