Moscow worried over heightened tensions between Israel and Syria, and between Israel and Lebanon - Russian foreign ministry

MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. Russia expresses serious concern over a sharp heightening of tensions between Israel and Syria, and between Israel and Lebanon, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. Following Israel’s air strike near Syria’s Al-Quneitra on January 18, a series of missile attacks on the Israel-occupied Golan Heights was conducted on January 27 from the Syrian territory that were followed by Israel’s shelling of positions of the Syrian army.
