MP BAYANSELENGE MEETS WB PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, a head of the parliamentary Standing Committee on social policy, education, culture and sciences Z.Bayanselenge received the Permanent Representative of the World Bank /WB/ to Mongolia Ms Coralie Gevers. The latter promised to cooperate effectively with the Standing Committee and then spoke about the policies, actions and projects being implemented in Mongolia from the World Bank, for example, the bank spent 40 million USD on erecting new kindergartens and schools and has already planned to construct more 17. Moreover, the WB is preparing a project on improvement of training's quality with the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, she added. The WB is realizing other projects on developing reading and writing skills of children at elementary schools, establishing libraries, improving teaching methods of teachers and refining upon reform policy for pension in cooperation with the Ministry of Population Development and Social Protection of the country. The sides agreed to expand ties and to cooperate in implementing projects and programs.
