MP: Egypt Crisis Stems From US Policy Of Sowing Discord

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – Majlis Vice-Speaker Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abu Torabifard said the current developments in Egypt are outcomes of US policies of sowing discord among Muslims. Addressing the Sunday morning open session of Majlis, he said since the US Imperialism sees all its illegitimate interests threatened worldwide, it embarks on carrying out policies to highlight national and tribal differences. Stressing that the Islamic world has now transformed into a united front to confront the expansionist policies of the hegemonic powers, he said the most important element of victory of Muslims is to concentrate on the Holy Quran as always stressed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Abu Torabifard further noted that the one behind all ongoing tensions in Egypt, Bahrain, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan is the criminal US. He called on the Egyptian nation, at the present juncture, to hold on to democracy and try to safeguard its unity to overcome such policies./end
