MP: Geneva Deal Changes Psychological Atmosphere Against Iran

Yazd, Dec 8, IRNA – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Saturday evening that Iran’s first step nuclear deal with the world six powers has changed the anti-Iran psychological atmosphere made by the West’s sanctions. Boroujerdi made the remarks in a local gathering in this central provincial capital city. Iran and members of the Group 5+1 (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) held talks in Geneva from November 20-24. After five days of intensive discussions, the two reached an accord on a step-by-step settlement of the nuclear dispute which would lead to a comprehensive agreement. “Iranian negotiating team made good achievements in Geneva,” said the MP, noting that the Iranian nuclear negotiators “had a serious and powerful performance during the talks which was in line with the national interest.” Referring to the strategy of “heroic flexibility” initiated by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the MP said the Iranian nation will pursue its peaceful nuclear program regarding the national interest and revolutionary goals./end
