MP: German Police Behavior With Iranian Diplomat, US Planned Scenario

Tehran, July 8, IRNA – Deputy Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission underscored that German police behavior with an Iranian diplomat in Frankfurt was a planned senario by the US and the Zionist regime. Mansour Haqiqatpour on Saturday condemned German police behavior with the Iranian diplomat in Frankfurt and said that the German police should not have treated improperly with him. He added enemies are trying to create fake advantures to engineer world public opinion against the Islamic Republic of Iran and said US and the Zionist regime, by controlling world media, are trying to create an atmosphere against Iran and change world public opinion toward Iranians. Haqiqatpour continued that the government should take a prompt stance against German police act. He underlined that the terrorist grouplet Mojaheddin Khalq Organization (MKO) and other terrorist grouplets, with the help of hegemonic powers, are trying to create disturbance for Iran. Upon a planned senario last Monday, a member of Iran general counsulate in the city of Frankfurt was attacked by an African woman while returning from his office to home, but, unfortunately, German police had a violent and imprper behavior with the Iranian diplomat instead of confronting the attacker. Deputy Foreign Minister in Counsulate Affairs Hassan Qashqavi called the action 'improper ” and German ambassador to Tehran was summoned to Foreign Ministry and received Iran’s strong protest concerning German police act. Iran embassy in Berlin and general counsulate in Frankfurt also sent a protest letter and contacted with German officials and are following up the case./end
