MP: Iran Never To Stand Alongside US

Tehran, June 24, IRNA – Member of Parliament Seyyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said Iran will never stand alongside the US on Iraq issue because Washington seeks to attain its political objectives there through Iran. Talking to IRNA on Monday, the parliamentarian who serves as the spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said the US is pretending that it has distanced itself from terrorists in the region by asking for Iranˈs cooperation in Iraq. By doing so, he added, Washington wants to tarnish Iranˈs image among the regional countries. He stressed that the Iraqi nation will never forget the crimes committed by the US government because America created the terrorist criminal group to cover up its own political disputes./end
