MP: Negotiators, Majlis Reiterate Enrichment As Iranˈs Red-line

Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA – A member of Majlis’ National Security and Foreign Policy Commission’s Presiding Board Mohammad Hassan Asafari underlined that uranium enrichment is Iran’s red-line and it will never be stopped. “During the joint meeting we emphasized on the continuation of enrichment activities,” Asafari said on Sunday night. “In tonight’s meeting the negotiating team met with the members of the national security and foreign policy commission for three hours,” he added. He noted that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and other members of the negotiating team briefed the lawmakers about the Geneva 1 and 2 meeting and the upcoming Geneva 3 meeting slated for November 20-21. “The negotiating team and members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission emphasized in the meeting that suspension of enrichment, closure of Fordo, Arak heavy-water nuclear facilities and none of the nuclear site are on the team’s agenda,” Asafari said./end
