Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On June 14, O.Baasankhuu, MP and head of Mongolia-DPRK Parliamentary Group, met representatives led by Thae Hyong-chol, member of the Supreme People's Assembly, Head of DPRK-Mongolia parliamentary group at the Supreme People's Assembly and Director of Kim Il-sung University.
MP O.Baasankhuu emphasized the steady growth of traditional friendly relations between Mongolia and DPRK, expressing willingness to expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of children, youth, women and humanity, and inter-parliamentary and international arena.
Mr. Thae Hyong-chol said, “The 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and DPRK and 30th anniversary of North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Il-sung’s visit to Mongolia are occurring this year. We are very pleased with our visit to Mongolia within the framework of the anniversaries, to exchange views on bilateral cooperation. This year, Mongolia’s Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar and MPP Secretary General D.Amarbayasgalan visited our country, which were contributive to expand bilateral relations. We are happy that tensions of the Korean peninsula are reducing day by day and peace is stabilizing. We are grateful to Mongolian government and people who supported our people”.
