MP Raps Sacrilege Of Quran By US Pastor

Tehran, May 1, IRNA – Member of Parliament Ionaten Bet Kelia said that sacrilege committed by a US pastor against Holy Quran is a political gesture backed by the global arrogance. Ionaten Bet Kelia, who represents the Assyrians and Jews at Iranian parliament, expressed outrage at the sacrilegious act of the US pastor and said that the pastor indicated his unmanly nature by burning Holy Quran. “Such a man has nothing for the human being. He has got away from humanity.” Bet Kelia said that the pastor hated followers of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) too, because Holy Quran has also talked about the Jesus and there is a special surah in the Holy book about Mary. He said that the US pastor does not believe in God and he cannot call himself a Christian, because he burnt the name of Allah. He said that Holy Quran is also sacred for the Christians and Jews, adding that the Jews and Christians live in peace and friendship in Iran and the global arrogance cannot sow discord between them. Bet Kelia recalled a historical fact saying that 1400 years ago, Imam Ali (AS), the first Imam of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Infallible Household signed a peace treaty with the Christians./end
