MP Says He, Colleagues Visited Fordo Site, It Is Enriching Uranium At 20 Percent

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – Lawmaker Esmaeil Kowsari said on Sunday that Fordo site is currently enriching uranium at 20 percent. Kowsari and 12 colleagues from the parliament visited Fordo site on Monday following rumors about its closure. He told IRNA quoting respective officials with Atomic Energy Organization of Iran that all the centrifuges have been installed as per the timetable. Kowsari who is a member of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission added that Fordo site is currently enriching uranium at 20 percent. According to Kowsari the officials of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran briefed the lawmakers on the activities of the site. Meanwhile, he said that Iranian lawmakers will also pay a visit to nuclear site in Natanz in near future./end
