MP: Temporary Issues Not To Affect Iran-Germany Ties

Tehran, Oct 31, IRNA – Head of Iran-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group Javad Heravi said on Tuesday that temporary political issues should not harm longstanding Iran-Germany ties. Heravi told member of German parliament and co-chairman of Iran-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group Bijan Jirsaraie that present level of Iran-Germany relations is not satisfactory in light of historical and friendly relations between the two nations. Noting that Iranian nation will never yield to political and economic pressure and the sanctions imposed on Iran, Heravi said regarding good background of bilateral ties, Germany is expected not to let such policies affect the bilateral ties. He said that dialogue can open a new atmosphere in bilateral relations, helping the two countries' leaders and people understand each other. Jirsaraie who is of Iranian descent said that he was pleased with Iran visit, hoping that exchange of visits by Iranian and German parliamentary officials and parliamentary friendship groups would work to bring the two nations closer./end
