MPP Conference scheduled August 5

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 8th Conference of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) will be held on August 5. It was decided Tuesday at a meeting of the party’s Leading Council after a long discussion. The upcoming Conference is expected to discuss results of the party's participation in the Presidential and local elections and to consider the party’s structure and organization. The agenda also includes a matter on amending the party’s concept and other issues. It is expected that the Conference (310 members) will bring together delegates from nine districts of Ulaanbaatar city and from all provinces. Some members of the MPP have set up a movement called "Committee for Reforms", and they have released an appeal to reform the party. This issue will be also discussed at the Conference. A date of the MPP Session has preliminarily been projected as late September or early October.
