MPP CONGRESS: CANDIDATES FOR CHAIRMAN NAMED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Candidates for the post of the ruling party’s Chairman have been officially named. Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh and Head of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) Group in Parliament D.Khayankhyarvaa are running for Chairman at the ongoing 28th Congress of the MPP. MP G.Temuulen nominated D.Khayankhyarvaa whereas Ts.Nyamdorj, Minister of Justice and Home Affairs nominated U.Khurelsukh. MP J.Munkhbat, former Head of Cabinet Secretariat, was nominated by a Congress attendee from Arkhangai aimag, but withdrew his name. Although there were speculations that MPP member N.Demberel would compete for the Chairman, he expressed his refusal during his speech. As such, the Congress is to elect its next Chairman, successor of M.Enkhbold from the two candidates. Kh.Aminaa
