N-deal to hit Mideast extremism: 'Iran Daily'

Tehran, Nov 23, IRNA - 'Iran Daily' on Sunday wrote that the final meeting between Iran the P5+1 can be seen as an important test for both sides. Iran’s negotiating team has been able to accomplish part of its mission which is to clear up misunderstandings and hostilities blocking Iran-P5+1 cooperation, underscored the English-language daily in its Opinion column. In this light, Vienna can prove the power of diplomacy in resolving international disputes, believes the paper. The big loser of the Vienna talks will undoubtedly be the radicals, it pointed out, adding that any deal between Iran and the P5+1 will deal a severe blow to the US neoconservatives, Zionists and Takfiris. Elaborating on the current regional developments, the paper noted that the wave of extremism sweeping the Middle East has prompted public opinion to view the Vienna meeting as vital, highlighted the daily. The West has been desperately trying to curb Takfiri extremism in recent months but its efforts have been in vain. ISIL terrorists operating in Iraq and Syria have been able to recruit up to 4,000 people from Europe which has caused mounting concern. That’s why Western media are encouraging diplomats to move forward, it added. Over the past year, Iranian diplomats have been striving to change the West’s dark outlook toward Iran which has been portrayed as a threat to global peace, it noted, adding that the country is now seen as the key to stability in the crisis-hit Middle East. Political observers consider the current nuclear talks in Vienna as a major turning point in relations between Iran and the West which could end a decade-long dispute over Tehran’s nuclear energy program. The nuclear talks come as the international community is deeply worried about global peace and security. All parties involved in the Vienna meeting are grappling with violence and extremism in the Middle East. They believe that it will be in their interests to come to a settlement on the nuclear dispute as this will help restore calm and stability to the region./end
