N-talks have not proved fruitless: Iran Daily

Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA - The nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers, which have been underway for a while, will soon produce tangible results to end the impasse on Iran’s decade-long nuclear dossier, believes the English-language newspaper 'Iran Daily', published Tuesday. Despite the fact that the country’s internal issues and the nuclear case are not interlinked, the people however expect that the negotiations with six world powers will soon end. Criticising President Barack Obama's mistakes committed during his two terms of presidency that led to criticisms against the US administration, the paper noted that the Democratic president is now seeking success in the nuclear talks with Iran to use it against the Republicans, who took control of the Congress after they won both Senate and House elections. It is hoped that the P5+1 will come to the conclusion that a deal would be in favor of all parties in the talks, especially the US., Obama and his administration will pay a high price, if nuclear talks fail, wrote the paper. Given these facts, the Republicans will continue putting pressure on Obama on Iran’s nuclear program and even may make hasty decisions, it said. Iran should thus take very accurate steps in a way that its commitments are not delayed or extended, suggested the paper in conclusion. *Ezatollah Yousefian Molla is a member of the Majlis/end
