Nackaerts: Finalizing A Modality, Objective Of 10th Talks

Vienna, May 16, IRNA - Deputy Director General of the UN nuclear watchdog Herman Nackaerts said Wednesday that the objective of the 10th round of talks between Iran and the IAEA was to finalize a modality. He made the remarks upon arrival at the site of the talks being held at Iranˈs permanent mission at the UN Vienna office. The 10th round of talks between representatives of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency is attended by Iran’s Ambassador to the IAEA Ali Asghar Soltanieh and Nackaerts. Nackaerts said that finalizing a modality meant to resolve the remaining issues regarding Iranˈs nuclear program. A large number of reporters are covering the event being held behind closed doors. Iran-IAEA previous talks were held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in February 2013 during which the two sides failed to reach any agreement on the new modality./end
