Nahyan leads UAE delegation to international anti-terrorism rally in Tunis

TUNIS, 31st March 2015 (WAM) --- Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, on Sunday led the UAE delegation to the Nahyan anti-terrorism rally organised Sunday by the Tunisian government in response to the 18 March terrorist attack on the National Bardo Museum. In the unity rally organised by the Tunisian government under the slogan "Le Monde est Bardo" (The World is Bardo), Sheikh Nahyan and the UAE delegation comprising Major General Fares Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs, Salim Eisa Al Zaabi, Ambassador to Tunisia, as well as the UAE Embassy's diplomats Abdullah Hassan Al Shamsi and Obaid Sultan Al Kaabi, joined scores of officials, politicians, dignitaries from Tunisia, Arab countries, Africa and Europe to march alongside the Tunisian president, Beji Caid Essebsi, through the capital to Bardo Museum, the scene of the deadly attack. Tunisia's Minister of Defence, Farhat Horchani, and Minister of Youth and Sports, Maher Ben Dhia, greeted Sheikh Nahyan upon his arrival at the Tunis–Carthage International Airport. The two ministers expressed to Sheikh Nahyan Tunisia's appreciation of the UAE's high-level participation in the anti-terrorism rally.
