NAM, Effective In Establishment Of Sustainable Peace - MP

Arak, Markazi Prov, July 18, IRNA – A parliamentarian said Wednesday that the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is playing an effective role in spreading sustainable peace throughout the world. Mohammad Hassan Asafari, who is secretary of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis, told IRNA that the movement can also play a key role in expansion of relations among the world nations. Asafari described the forthcoming NAM meeting in Tehran as an ample opportunity to achieve those objectives. Referring to the importance of the movement, the MP said it is the second biggest international body after the United Nations. He added that the era of domination is over, calling on the NAM member states to make efforts to make plans for the world management. The 16th NAM Summit meeting is to be held in the Iranian capital from August 26 to 31./end
