Nami Wins Vote Of Confidence As New ICT Min.

Tehran, Feb 26, IRNA – Mohammad Hassan Nami won the Iranian parliament’s vote of confidence as new Information and Communications Technology Minister on Tuesday. He managed to get 177 votes in his favor out of a total of 243 cast by the MPs in the Majlis open session this morning. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the Majlis session to defend the resume and performance record of his proposed minister. On February 2, Nami was appointed by the President as caretaker of the ministry. He was introduced to Majlis on February 18 for vote of confidence./end
