Navy Commander Off To Jakarta To Attend Maritime Symposium

Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA – Commander of Commander of Iranian Navy Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, heading a high-ranking delegation, left for Jakarta on Saturday to take part in a symposium on international maritime security due to be held in Jakarta from December 9 to 11. The symposium is entitled “The Reasonable Navy, Key Player of Maritime Security Enhancement”. The Iranian Navy commander is expected to deliver a speech to the symposium. Nearly 350 participants from countries membering the Indian Oceans Naval Symposium and Western Pacific Navy Symposium will attend the three-day symposium. Sayyari is scheduled to hold talks with his counterparts from various countries, as well as the senior Indonesian military officials on the strategy of global cooperation on maritime security./end
