Nepalese National Seminar on Juche Idea Held

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- A Nepalese national seminar on the Juche idea for independence, peace and prosperity took place in Kathmandu on August 5 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). On display at the venue of the seminar were photos dealing with their exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. Displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men and books and photos introducing the real picture of the DPRK. Attending it were personages of the national assembly, political parties, organizations, organizations for the study of the Juche idea and media persons of Nepal and the DPRK ambassador to Nepal and staff members of his embassy. The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and made a bow. Congratulatory speeches were made at the seminar. Then followed a keynote report and speeches. Manju Ratna Sakya, chairman of the Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, highly praised Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as the peerlessly great men as they provided great ideas to the world progressive people. C. P. Mainali, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) who doubles as chairman of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, lauded the great leaders for making contributions to the foundation and development of the DPRK. Manik Lama, chairman of the Nepalese Association for Supporting the Songun Politics, Sonkori Baroti, chairman of the Nepali Literary Forum for the Study of Songun Politics, and Subash Kaji Shrestha, chairman of the Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal, said that in order to defend the sovereignty and build a new society, it is necessary to conduct everything on the basis of the Juche idea. Krichna Bahadur Mahara, speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal, stressed that Kim Il Sung waged the revolutionary struggle by depending on the strength of the popular masses and achieved the liberation, development and prosperity of Korea. A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar. -0-
