New Ballistic Missile Successfully Test-fired In PG Waters

Tehran, April 16, IRNA – A new surface-to-sea ballistic missile has successfully been test-fired in the Persian Gulf waters recently, Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Bokaee said Tuesday. Addressing the national ˈYoung Soldierˈ Seminar in the Iranian capital, the brigadier general said the missile was made and test-fired by experts of Iranˈs Defense Ministry. The new missile is the improved type of the surface-to-surface long-range missile and is capable of completely destroying any warship in the sea. While the new missile was being test-fired, all foreign warships present in the Persian Gulf waters withdrew from Iranˈs territorial waters, Bokaee said./end
