New Iranian ambassador to UN to arrive in New York tomorrow

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA – The New Iranian ambassador to UN Gholam-Ali Khoshru will arrive in New York tomorrow. Khoshru, a sociologist, has in his records two terms of deputy foreign minister, Iranian ambassador to the UN, Australia and Switzerland, and was an active member of the Iranian nuclear negotiations team from 2001 to 2005. Iran's former nominee for shouldering this task was Hamid Abutalebi, but the United States refused visa for him. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has protested to the US state department against the visa refusal for the former nominee and said that the Ministry assigned Khoshru to undertake the mission.
