NGO Urges US, West To Stop Unilateral Sanctions Against Iran

Tehran, Aug 19, IRNA – A non-governmental organization urged the US and Europe to remain committed to the international human rights and stop unilateral sanctions against the Iranian nation. In a statement issued on Sunday, International Solidarity called on human rights organizations and the United Nations to urgently lift the anti-Iran sanctions by creating an atmosphere in which no UN member state would ever dare impose sanctions on another member of the international body. The statement stressed that the act of the US government and congress as well as the European Union in imposing sanctions on the Iranian economy contradicts the sublime goals of the UN documents.
