Nicaragua Hails Iranian Initiative To Bring Syrian Factions To Negotiating Table

Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Nicaraguan presidential advisor said on Monday that Iranian initiative to bring the Syrian factions to the negotiating table is constructive and valuable. Miguel D'Escoto who is in Tehran to take part in Conference on National Dialogue in Syria, made the remarks in a meeting with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi. He said that Iran's move is a successful prelude to help develop unity among Syrian different opposition groups. In the meantime, D'Escoto expressed his country's interest in promoting cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Referring to the history of Tehran-Managua excellent ties, he recalled the two countries mutual and international cooperation. The two officials discussed international developments including the US' domineering policies and prevalence of injustice across the world and the US Administration's instrumental use of the international organizations and the need to restructure the UN Security Council./end
