NIOC Head Says Two South Pars Phases To Be Commissioned By Yearend

Bushehr, Oct 18, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Friday called for acceleration of operation of the first terrain of phases 17 and 18 in South Pars by the end of the current year (March 20). Inspecting Pars Special Economy Energy Zone, Rokneddin Javadi further remarked that with the operation of the first terrain of the phases, 12.5 million cubic meters of gas will be added to the gas production capacity of the country per day. He said in order to prevent any stoppage in sweet gas production, the gas of Platforms 17 and 18 should be transferred through pipeline between Phases 15, 16, 17 and 18 to Phases 15 and 16 where the refinery has been completed. In a meeting with onshore and offshore contractors, he examined final scenarios for the operation of Phase 12 in South Pars. The NIOC managing director also inspected final trend of construction operations of the refinery pipeline between several phases which is under completion with an aim of reaching the projected production in the cold weather./end
