No Agreement Made On date, Venue Of Next Talks With 5+1

Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday no agreement has been made on date or venue of the next round of talks between the G5+1 and Iran. Noting that representatives of the two sides have made no agreement on the issue, Mehmanparast said more information would be available in case of reaching any agreement. Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, the spokesman said, “During the future talks it would become clear if the other side has adopted a reasonable approach towards recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights.” Commenting on recent remarks made by the government of Bahrain, he said Bahraini officials should “take lessons from the fate of (the toppled dictator of Iraq) Saddam Hussein.” Bahrain’s anti-Iran remarks were made against “diplomatic norms and needed no response.” “It seems that instead of resolving its domestic problems through respecting public demands, Manama is to further complicate them,” Mehmanparast said. He warned Bahraini officials against strengthening anti-Iran terrorist groups and sheltering members of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO). “Iran is a great country with many friends in the entire region,” Mehmanparast stressed./end
