Norwegian, Iranian ministers hold talks on Tehran-5+1 meeting in Baghdad

TEHRAN, May 19(MNA) – The Islamic Republic hopes that the upcoming talks in Baghdad will be a step forward and help resolve disputes over Iran’s nuclear program, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi told his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Store in a telephone conversation on Thursday. Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) held a new round of talks on Tehran’s nuclear program in Istanbul on April 14, breaking a 15-month hiatus in talks, and agreed to meet again in Baghdad on May 23.
