Not to agree is also a right, says Turkish Cypriot President

LEFKOSA (A.A) - February 15, 2012 - Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu said Wednesday that "an agreement must satisfy the two peoples". Speaking to reporters in the Turkish Cypriot capital of Lefkosa, Eroglu said that while trying to agree, no one should forget that "not to agree is also a right. However, we are working hard to realize the right of agreeing". We are trying hard for an agreement that would make it possible for Turkish Cypriots to live on this soil with honor and dignity and protect their interests, President Eroglu stressed. We are not in a position to work for an agreement that would only satisfy the Greek Cypriots, Eroglu added.
