Nour Missile Successfully Test-fired

Jask, Hormuzgan prov, Jan 1, IRNA – The indigenous surface-to-surface Nour missile has been successfully test-fired by the Iranian Navy on the fifth day of the Velayat 91 drills underway in the country’s southern territorial waters off this Persian Gulf province. The Nour missile has successfully hit the enemies' hypothetical targets, the spokesman for the drill Rear Admiral Amir Rastgari told IRNA. Rastegari stressed that the missile has been designed and manufactured by Iranian experts and could be used for hitting floating targets. The Iranian Navy started the six-day naval exercises on December 28. The drill covers international waters in the Gulf of Oman, Strait of Hormuz, North of the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab el Mandeb Strait. It also carries a message of peace for Iran’s neighboring states. The Velayat-91 naval exercises are aimed at demonstrating Iran's naval capabilities in defending the country's territorial waters and carrying a message of peace for the neighboring states.
