Nuclear agreement between Iran, G5+1 likely

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Iran and G5+1 can reach an agreement if the US and its Western allies take a logical stance towards Iran's nuclear program, a senior Iranian MP said. Head of Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ala’eddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in an interview with state TV channel 2 on Sunday night. Resistance towards West's illogical requests is a national demand and Leader's fatwa on prohibition of construction and use of nuclear bombs guarantees peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, Boroujerdi added. He also said that enrichment is Iran's red line and Tehran will never accept a symbolic enrichment. All Iran's nuclear activities are under IAEA supervision, the lawmaker said. Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is currently on a visit to Muscat for new round of talks with G5+1. Zarif held a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry and the EU coordinator Catherine Ashton in Muscat on Sunday and the talks are scheduled to continue on Monday./end
