Nuclear talks aimed to protect dignity of Islamic system: Dy FM

Qom, Aug 26, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi said Wednesday that the aim of nuclear talks was to protect the dignity of the Islamic system, the invaluable bloods of martyrs and nuclear achievements. Takht-e Ravanchi made the remarks during a meeting with Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, a Shia religious leader, in the holy city of Qom. Although the major powers were seeking to shut down the Iranian nuclear industry and bring the Iranian nation to their knees by means of sanctions, Iran resisted to their excessive demands so that they had to finally recognize Iran's right to enrichment, Takht-e Ravanchi said. He expressed hope that with the implementation of the nuclear deal, Iran would finally achieve a great achievement. In his visit to the holy city of Qom in central Iran, the deputy foreign minister met with a number of religious leaders.
